Efficiency of Producing Oriental Plane Tree Saplings in Conditions of Outdoor Hydroponics in Armenia

Abstract

Long-term experiments have been conducted at the testing station of G.S. Davtyan Institute of Hydroponics Problems (Ararat plain) and in hydroponic conditions of Dilijan forest belt. Soilless growing biotechnology for saplings of oriental plane tree has been developed.
Growing index of the saplings produced in Ararat plain has exceeded that of grown in Dilijan forest belt in 2.0-2.3 times. The biotechnology developed for the production of plane tree saplings in hydroponic way is rather effective and perspective.
Thus, it is recommended to apply it in the fast track procedure of large-scale saplings production.
