Abstract

The article discusses the role of the state in regulating the activity of natural monopolies. Based on the peculiarities of the energy sector, we have analyzed market mechanisms for determining regulatory expenditures in this sphere. It is suggested to apply such incentive regulation tools in the Republic of Armenia that will enable to stimulate a natural monopoly entity to invest and at the same time to ensure stability in terms of effects on tariffs.
